typeface :-) smiley face

One day I noticed that if I changed the font style of a emoction face it actually changed the entire expression of that face. I did this with ton’s of font styles to come up with this video. I thought it was kinda cool so I put all the face together with this music from a friend from Berlin. The music is by Pop Model myspace.com/popmodelberlin but he has since changed the band. The original title for this video was: “typeface emoction face” but I”m open to other suggestions.

Not a lot of online business owners are aware that the subject line of a sales letter alone is enough to make or break the deal. 1. Your subject line should be in question form. People like to think of the answers to your questions, and will want to know if they’ve answered it right. How do they find out? They read the rest of your email.

2. Everyone loves free stuff. Utilize the word “free” whenever you can in the body of your text. You can incorporate it naturally by saying you’re offering “free tips”, “free trial” or “free download”. If you were the customer, you’d be asking, “Where? Where?” and would be reading the entire email for more information on whatever it is that’s free.

3. Use emoctions in your subject line for a friendly, casual feel. An email with a emoction seems more personal and more approachable. Smileys were created to reduce the feeling of rigidness when using technology to communicate. It short, they convey emotions. A emoction in your subject line is like a bright smile when you’re actually greeting someone face to face. It instantly makes the ambiance better.

4. Lose the ambiguity in your claims. Stay away from promises that are too good to be true. People have been fooled by these one too many times. 5. Be very specific about terms. People use a year for a period that’s roughly 12 months, but you should say “365 days” because it’s more reassuring and detailed. Instead of telling your customers they’d be earning thousands of dollars monthly, tell them how a monthly rate of 00 can be achieved. Provide a realistic and detailed breakdown.

6. Stir clear of all caps in the subject line. Using capital letters, as you know, suggests that you are shouting or demanding, or are very, very angry. It is understood you want to gain attention, but you’re certainly not going to get favorable attention by using upper case letters. Instead, capitalize the first letters of each word, just as you would in a title.

7. Okay. Use capital letters for keywords. This is for EMPHASIS. When people skim-read (meaning they just glance really quickly) their eyes always focus on the word that’s capitalized. This is also why you shouldn’t capitalize everything. If all words were capitalized, you’d lose emphasis.

8. Use the word “stop ” at the beginning of your subject line. People who are browsing through their mailbox will take notice and yes, will stop looking at other mails to focus on yours. It whets curiosity too.

9. Alternate upper and lower case letters in your subject line. How’s that for a really informal feel?

10. Put spaces between letters of words and words in a sentence for a more artistic feel. These gaps between words and letters make your email more easily noticeable in a mailbox full of new emails.

* Use the format of telegraphic sentences. They are catchier, because you are actually squeezing as much information as you can in the subject line. People who read your subject line will definitely open your email, wondering where more information can be found.

* Use symbols and punctuation marks to create emoctions, bars, brackets and shapes. Not a lot of email senders do that. So yours will definitely stand out and get noticed.
